WORK EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Does the idea of flying through the air under a giant bag of invisible hot stuff excite you but you don't have the funds to spare? Maybe you've just seen us out flying and thought "Jeez that looks like fun! What would I have to do to get in to that?!"

Welcome, friend. You're in the right place.

Just let us know you're interested. We'll arrange for a time/date that your schedule and the weather allows. Come out and meet the team, get hands on training working with the radios, setting up and tearing down the balloon, as well as driving the chase vehicle. We'll also discuss pre-flight planning, weather briefings, flight operations, communications and emergency procedures. You won't be asked to do anything that you're not comfortable with and you'll always work with at least 1 other crew person who has as much as or more experience than you and can show you the ropes.

INDIVIDUAL

- Crew 5 times and get a free ride for 1. 

- Crew 3 additional times (for 8 total) and get a free ride for 2.

COUPLE

- Crew 4 times each (for 8 total) and get a free ride for 2.

The overall goal with this program is to expand our team and educate the community on the how's and why's of ballooning. We want you to feel comfortable with the aircraft, the weather forecasting, the inflation and deflation procedures, and witness the launches and landings before you get in to the basket for your 1st flight so you have an idea of what to expect.

REQUIREMENTS

• A valid driver's license

• Brief heavy lifting required (always as a team).

• Must be comfortable working outdoors and in variable weather conditions.

• Must be comfortable working around fire.

• If you're diabetic, allergic to something, or have asthma bring whatever you need to assist.

• Must bring your own gloves.

• Some interaction with strangers, kids, landlords and homeowners to be expected.

• A sense of humor is greatly appreciated.
